After School

Registration for the Open Studio After School Program is OPEN for the 2025/2026 school year!

Each afternoon, students spend their after school hours with artists and teachers engaged in creative studios including Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Park Time, Storytelling and so much more.  In addition, students get homework help if needed.  Students get to choose how they would like to spend their time and this choice can help to reset children from a day where adults have usually told them what to do. Q StudioLab Elementary and Middle School students get priority placement into the afterschool program and we also provide pick-up service for select local public schools.

Program Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:30-5:30pm

Serving Students: Kindergarten – 6th Grade

Our Open Studio After School Program provides students with a nurturing environment where they receive help with and encouragement toward having new experiences. Students will have a chance to be part of a small community that cares and supports their interests, ideas and gifts. Through our hands-on studio experiences, students gain new skills and ways to express their ideas.

Daily Schedule:

Every day, students are picked up from area schools by experienced staff members or dropped off at our program. From there, students enter their “Home Studio” where they will have a parent provided snack and do homework until 3:45pm. Starting at 3:45pm, they have a choice of three to four different studios to participate in for two Open Studio periods. One Open Studio period is from 3:45-4:30pm and the second is from 4:30-5:15pm. Students pack up from 5:15-5:25 and are dismissed at 5:30pm.
