We are a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool. We encourage children to explore with a sense of wonder and strive to nurture each child’s joy of learning. We want every child and family to feel connected to a community where they know they are cared for and respected. The foundation of our learning program is built on observation, provocation, and proposal. We carefully observe each child and develop our emergent curriculum based on their individual interests and needs.

Using these observations, we create provocations — thoughtfully designed setups that invite children to experiment with possibilities and new materials. We also develop proposals — small group, teacher-guided explorations such as making fishing poles or building a house. These proposals are inspired by what children are excited about, helping to extend their play and encourage them to try new ideas.
 

Additionally, we incorporate the insights and expertise of our teachers, allowing classroom studies to be extended and deepened, creating and adding to the inspiring learning experiences and curriculum.

Parents are invited into our classrooms to read, go on community walks, share their passions through hands-on presentations and activities. We invite children and families to share their language, culture, and celebrations with our classes and we incorporate these into our curriculum as well.
