Tuition Assistance Information
The Q StudioLab is a project-based, progressive school in Queens where students learn by doing. We nurture curiosity, creativity, and community, helping children grow as confident thinkers and collaborative problem-solvers.
We believe that meaningful, hands-on learning should be possible for families with a variety of financial needs, which is why we offer limited needs-based Tuition Assistance to qualifying families.
How to Apply for Tuition Assistance
We process tuition assistance applications through SSS (School and Student Services).
Step 1: Complete the Elementary Application or Middle School Application
Step 2: Complete the SSS Financial Aid Application

Applying through SSS
The application typically takes around 1-2 hours to complete. SSS has provided guides to assist families with the application which are linked below.

The SSS Application is mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere.

You are able to save your progress and return at any time.

At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee* to submit. You may share your application with additional schools that accept the SSS application for no additional charge.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is support available at (800) 344-8328 as well as email support at sssandtadsfa@communitybrands.com in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

Parent Offer to Pay Amount - We invite you to share what your family feels is a manageable tuition amount for the school year. This helps us understand your financial picture from your perspective. Context or Circumstances Not Reflected in Documents - There is space on the application to share any additional information you’d like us to consider - such as recent job changes, medical expenses, or other factors that affect your family’s finances. Please share anything that feels important. This helps us make a thoughtful and fair assessment.
